My Name Is Liam

My name's Liam Koulahi. I'm 24, and I live in Stockholm.

This isn't the story of someone who spent a decade in a lab before deciding to start a supplement company. It's a lot simpler than that — and honestly, a lot more personal.

For years, eating felt like flipping a switch. I'd sit down for lunch feeling completely normal — clear-headed, focused, ready for the rest of the day — and by the time I was back at my desk, it was like someone had pulled the plug. Heavy eyelids. Brain fog so thick I'd reread the same sentence three times. That specific, almost drugged kind of tired where staying awake takes actual effort, not just willpower.

I did what most people do: I started blaming the food. Cut carbs. Ate smaller lunches. Some days I just didn't eat until I knew I could afford to crash afterward. It worked, sort of — but it wasn't a solution, it was a workaround. I was organizing my whole day around a problem I didn't understand.

So I started digging into the actual mechanism — not just "carbs are bad," but what's really happening between the moment food hits your system and the moment your energy disappears. What I found reframed the whole thing for me: it's not really about the carbs themselves. It's about how efficiently your body handles the glucose that meal creates — how gradually it's processed versus how much of a flood hits your system at once. That rate matters more than the number on the label.

That distinction changed how I thought about food entirely. The goal wasn't to eat less, or eat differently, or white-knuckle my way through another 30-minute lunch break followed by an hour of recovery. The goal was to support my body in handling meals the way it's supposed to — smoothly, without the spike-and-crash whiplash.

That's what Calyra is built around. Not another stimulant to drag myself out of a crash after it's already happened, and not another restrictive diet rule. A formula designed to support a healthier post-meal response, so eating can just go back to being eating.

I built Calyra because I didn't want to keep choosing between being productive and being able to eat lunch. If that sounds familiar, I built this for you too.
